Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, has made an example of her marriage in offering marriage tips to men who are wary of marrying career women. The actress, who was a guest at a popular reality show yesterday encouraged men to marry career women as their success would rub off eventually.
She said, “Men, allow your women to breathe because I think it is a thing of pride when you stand next to a powerful woman. When a man stands next to a weak woman, he is a weak man. The more powerful your wife is, the more powerful you are, so don’t be afraid of powerful women.”
Omotola asserted that she would never betray the trust her husband has in her because she ‘got him’ as she urged the housemates to ensure that they marry “a man or woman that got you.”
“My husband trusts me and I will never betray his trust. It’s a psychological thing he doesn’t check up on me, he doesn’t care and he doesn’t have to because I’ve got him. Marry a man or woman that got you, he won’t need to check up on you and you shouldn’t. The minute you start to check up on her, she feels like there’s something to hide.
“My work is very important to me, if I had married a man that said you can’t work, there would have been a problem so when I met him, I made it clear that I had to be empowered. It’s not just about money, it’s about your mind because your mind plays tricks on you when you don’t have money or job,” she added.
