A 24-year-old lady, Victoria Hallan, has died four days to her wedding day and buried on the day she was supposed to walk down the aisle with her fiance Aminchi David.
A National Diploma holder, the late bride, her mother and her sister’s friend died in a ghastly auto accident on Wednesday October 12, 2016, while travelling from Jalingo, the Taraba State capital to Bauchi in preparation for her wedding, The Sun reported.
The report says the aborted wedding was earlier scheduled for Saturday October 15, 2016 in Bauchi.
It said the deceased and David had dated for four years.
“I was with them till they left. They boarded a commercial bus around 3:00 that afternoon… Later I called my daughter’s number and a Federal Road Safety official picked and introduced himself. When I inquired why my wife or daughter could not pick the calls he told me that they were involved in a fatal accident,” the bereaved father and husband, ASP Hallan Bawah told the paper.
